304 NPA bandit's exploited local residents in Nueva Ecija pledge support to the government

Fort Ramon Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija - The relentless effort of Army's Community Support Program and focused military operations resulted to the withdrawal of support from the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF) of 304 local residents that belong to the Alyansang Magbubukid na Nagkakaisa (ALMANA) in Nueva Ecija and pledged to support the government on Friday, August 7, 2020, at Barangay Siclong, Laur, Nueva Ecija.
As a manifestation of their allegiance, the 304 individuals signed a commitment to the government, burned the NPA flag, and staged peace rally indicating disassociation from the CPP-NPA-NDF.
The activity was facilitated by the combined elements of 91st Infantry Battalion, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (1PMFC) of Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO), Laur Municipal Police Station, 303rd MC-RMFB3, and 22nd SAC, 2nd Bn SAF-PNP.
After the activity, the local residents received food packs and were given Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) leaflets, for a complete understanding of the assistance for NPAs who will surrender.
Brigadier General Andrew D. Costelo, Commander of 703rd Infantry (AGILA) Brigade said, "We will continue to enlighten the people of our area of operation that these terrorists will only be there to destroy the future of our children and our peaceful communities. They do not deserved to be followed or supported by our community."
Lieutenant Colonel Reandrew P. Rubio, Commanding Officer said that the series of withdrawal of support of exploited local residents that belong to the group of ALMANA, and other NPA front organizations are strong indications that the implementation of National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF ELCAC) is now rolling like a bandwagon.
“This very significant moment is a great contributory factor in our bid to finally attain peace in our communities. Through the joint operations with the PNP and the delivery of basic services by the local government units (LGUs), and National Government agencies (NGAs), the communist terrorist group's (CTG) recruitment and recovery works are indeed affected and will eventually lead to the dismantling of KLG Sierra Madre, the NPA unit that operates in the area, " he said.
