MALUNGON, SARANGANI – Another NPA terrorist who belongs to Guerrilla Front 71, FSMR, surrender along with his firearm to the troops of 73rd IB in Barangay Lun Masla, Malapatan, Sarangani Province on Monday morning of 29 January 2018.
Michael Dasin Tang @SNIPER, 24 y/o, single, resident of Brgy Kihan, Malapatan, Sarangani Province surrender along with his US Cal .30 M2 Carbine Rifle to the troops of 73rd IB.
“Gikapoy na kaayo ko ug tinago sa bukid, sige na lang mi engkwentorahanay sa tropa sang 73rd IB.” I am tired of hiding in the jungle, most of the time the troops engage us in armed encounter, @SNIPER said.
It can be recalled that last January 25, 2018 a series of encounters transpired in Malapatan, Sarangani Province, forced two NPA terrorists to surrender to the troops of 73rd IB, since then the troops continue to intensify its pursuit security operations to maintain peace in the municipality.
“At this moment the former rebels did the right thing, that is to surrender, because our troops will continue to intensify security operations in the area” Lt Col Marion Angcao, 73IB Commander said.
The former rebel will be presented to the LGU of Sarangani for immediate assistance and subsequently enroll them to the CLIP (Comprehensive Local Integration Program). He will be provided a livelihood assistance and he will also receive additional cash assistance for his surrendered firearm that will help him to start a new and peaceful life.
"Once again we are calling the attention of the remaining NPA terrorists who are still hiding, to grab this opportunity to surrender. You deserve to live happily with your family.” Colonel Roberto Ancan 1002nd Brigade Commander said.
The military continues to intensify its security operations in Malapatan to thwart the atrocities planned by the NPA terrorist.
