Camp Aquino, Tarlac City - Another Communist NPA Terrorist’s (CNT’s) encampment has been seized and a high-powered firearm was surrendered to the NOLCOM forces on separate occasions.

A Platoon of Bravo Company, 86th Infantry Battalion (86IB) discovered the encampment during their combat patrol in Brgy. Disulap, San Mariano, Isabela at 10:40 in the morning of February 7, 2018 (Wednesday). Accordingly, the abandoned encampment, which can accommodate more or less 50 CNTs, was believed to be left several days ago.

On February 6, 2018 (Tuesday), at 10:30 in the morning, Rodel Alzate alyas BAGWIS, reported to Headquarters, 81st Infantry Battalion in Brgy. Bugbuga, Sta. Cruz, Ilocos Sur and turned-over over his issued firearm, a Cal.30 M1 US Carbine having a defaced serial number, together with a magazine and ammunition. Alyas BAGWIS previously surrendered, last December 1, 2017, to the same Army unit after the negotiations.

The relentless conduct of focused military operations in NOLCOM area and with the continuous support from the local communities will keep the communist terrorist on the run preventing them to conduct hostile and terroristic plans against soft targets. Furthermore, NOLCOM encourages those insurgents to return to the folds of the law and have a peaceful life, together with their families.
