Security Awareness Forum Conducted in Bulacan

Dona Remedios Trinidad, Bulacan – The 48th Infantry (GUARDIANS) Battalion conducted a Security Awareness Forum at the NGCP Substation, Brgy. Kaypian, San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan on April 2, 2019.


Representing the 48IB during the forum was Captain Mcdonald S. Macni who gave an update on the threat situation in the area of Bulacan.


Invited subject matter experts from the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) Region 3, headed by Director Rolando E. Asuncion and Chief of Police (COP) of SJDM, Bulacan headed by Police Lieutenant Colonel Orlando L. Castil likewise gave their respective presentations.


Security officers and managers from different companies and business establishments also attended the forum that focused on security awareness, communist terrorists groups (CTGs) infiltration to the labor sectors, and on the disarming incident that happened in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. An open forum regarding the subjects discussed formed part of the program.


Major General Lenard T. Agustin AFP, Commander, 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division said, “We all have our own organizations to look up to and we all aim for our firms, business entities and organizations to be fruitful in its endeavors. Whatever organization you belong, the AFP, especially the 7ID, will help you in achieving your goals and in the attainment of peace and order in our area of operations.”


Lieutenant Colonel Felix Emeterio M Valdez, Acting Commanding Officer of the 48IB said, “The safety and security of our companies and its personnel lie first on the awareness of everyone, especially on the current threat that exists in our respective areas. This awareness is an eye opener that if we want to be productive, we should join hands for these threats not to prevail.”
