In celebration of the 121st Araw ng Kalayaan with the theme "Tapang ng Bayan, Malasakit sa Mamamayan”, the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) through the Civil Relations Service conducts a free concert dubbed as MUSIKALAYAAN 2019 at the Rizal Park Open Air Auditorium in Manila, Tuesday, June 11.
The participating bands from the AFP, Philippine National Police, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology and Philippine Coast Guard showcased their talent in performing songs about patriotism, love of country, unity, peace and being proud as a Filipino as the nation celebrate its 121st Philippine Independence.
“The Musikalayaan 2019 showcased the different talents and capabilities of our armed forces and other defense/uniformed agencies other than their sworn duty. This is a great avenue for our men- and women-in-uniform to call on to the people to be proud of our nation blessed with rich history and gallantry” Major Louzel Lara, Media and Civil Affairs Group Commander, Civil Relations Service stated.
Other performers present and expressed their support to the event were ABS-CBN’s PBB Otso Big 4, Lou Yanong, Andrei Brouillete, Fumiya Sankai, and Yamyam Gucong.
