A Life of a Commander and an Upright Public Servant || MGEN MANUEL V SEQUITIN PA

The greatest military leaders are never born with a silver spoon. The leaders who earned the respect and trust of the people, rose to the top, and did not abuse authority nor became arrogant are one of a kind, and these are the gems of the service. Qualities that briefly describe MAJOR GENERAL MANUEL VARIAS SEQUITIN PA that prepared him to where he is today. He is a decorated officer, noble public servant, a compassionate leader, a crisis communicator, and a strategic Civil Military Operations practitioner. His message to the young blood in the service: “The people you associate with in your military life and your personal life is your circle of influence. Of course this can and does change over time. As you go through your life’s journey people will come into and go out of your life. But always bring along with you the values ingrained by the Academy. We all live by these words: Courage, Integrity and Loyalty in all we do. It is ingrained into your every action. There will be so many times that your core values will be tested because there will be so many temptations and frustrations outside the portals of this Academy. Keep in mind that your greatest challenge is how to fight your own demons. The road may be steep, situations may get tough and challenges will be a constant battle but never sacrifice your own values. How many people do you know in your own lives who were in your life who were destined for greatness? We are shaped and trained in the academy to become leaders—servant leaders. We cannot all become Chief of Staff of the AFP only few are destined to be. Always be true to yourself, be humble and all the great things will come to you. All of this happens when you realize the magnificence and brilliance of who you are along with the tremendous amount of value you contribute to others, to the service and to the country. And the more you give yourself permission to do remarkable things, the more the world sees how amazing of a leader you are." Retiring from the military is a major milestone and achievement for everybody especially most of us entered the military service at a very young age. His dedication and commitment to service and his unfaltering leadership truly charted his military career. CONGRATULATIONS SIR! Happy Retirement and God bless on your future endeavors. -TEAM CRSAFP #afpyoucantrust #sundalosalamatsaserbisyo #WarriorDiplomat #cadets #cmo #specialforces #afp #army #pma #1989 #Noble #ProfessionOfArms #commander #leadership #mentor #character #gmanews
